Dana Marisa Schoenfeld

Dana Marisa Schoenfeld is an award-winning writer/director/producer and actor.  She founded Main Sequence Entertainment in 2010.

Dana spent years in production working on hit television shows in New York City before she was awarded a two-year scholarship through the Screenwriting Expo to study screenwriting in Los Angeles.


Dana has written feature length screenplays, TV Pilots, one act plays, and short films.  She recently wrote, directed, and produced the short films,  "Dead Drunk," "Sasha,"  "Drumpf,"  "East" (TV Pilot),"Swiped Right," "Out of Character," and "Mushroom Meltdown."  She was hired to produce and direct the short films, "Cayenne Pepper,"  "The Handy Man,"  "Patiri in the Promised Land," (with Page Cooper Anderson) and "Exit Zero" (with Page Cooper Anderson).   "Patiri in the Promised Land" was accepted into the Cannes Short Film Corner, and won Best Director at the London International Filmmakers Festival.  


Dana's TV Pilot, "EAST," won BEST TV PILOT, at the Hoboken International Film Festival,  BEST WEB SERIES at The Big Apple Film Festival, BEST WEB SERIES at the Los Angeles Independent Film Festival Awards, and Best Web Series at the Las Vegas Action on Film International Film Festival. Dana also won Best Actress for her role as "Ella" in EAST at the Las Vegas Festival. EAST was also an official selection at the Bahamas International Film Festival and the Hollywood Dreamz International Film Festival.


Dana won Best Director at the Nice International Filmmakers Festival for SASHA, her short film that she wrote, directed, produced, and starred in.  Sasha also won Best Cinematography at the London International Filmmakers Festival and was nominated in several categories including Best Screenplay for a short film, Best Lead Actress (Dana Marisa Schoenfeld), Best Original Score (Vin Scialla), and Best Editing. Schoenfeld also took home a Best Director Award and a Best Producer Award at the Los Angeles Film Festival Awards for Sasha.  Sasha was recognized with an Award of Distinction at the CanadaShorts Film Festival, and was an official selection of the Big Apple Film Festival.


"Swiped Right," a short film that Dana penned, directed, co-produced, and edited, (based on an idea by Lydia Fiore), won the Audience Choice Award at the Williamsburg International Film Festival, Schoenfeld won "Best Director" at the Las Vegas Hollywood Dreamz International Film Festival, Best Actress (Lydia Fiore) at the Buffalo International Film Festival, Best Supporting Actress (Stephanie Weppler) at the LIIFE, Best Editor (Dana Marisa Schoenfeld) at Long Island International Film Expo, and Best Original Song (Travis Elliott) at LIIFE.   Swiped Right was honored with "Best Home Grown Comedy" at the Garden State Film Festival, and Best New Jersey Comedy at the Brightside Film Festival.  It was also an official selection of The Big Apple Film Festival, the Montclair Film Festival,  Hang onto Your Shorts Film Festival, Las Vegas Action on Film Festival, The Long Beach International Film Festival, and many more.


Dana is currently developing "EAST" into a series and has several other projects in development.

 

Dana grew up in New York City, went to the Ethical Culture Fieldston School, and graduated from The University of Michigan.   She lives in New York City.
