About Dana

Dana Marisa Schoenfeld is an award- winning writer/director/producer and actor.  She founded Main Sequence Entertainment in 2010.

Dana spent years in production working on hit television shows in New York City, before she was awarded a two-year scholarship through the Screenwriting Expo to study screenwriting in Los Angeles.

Dana has written feature Length screenplays, one act plays, television scripts, and short films.  She recently directed  Dead Drunk, Sasha, Drumpf, East (Pilot), Swiped Right, Out of Character, Cayenne Pepper, The Handy Man, and Mushroom Meltdown. 

Dana's TV Pilot, "EAST," won BEST TV PILOT, at the Hoboken International Film Festival, and BEST WEB SERiES at The Big Apple Film Festival. It was also an official selection at the Bahamas International Film Festival and at the Las Vegas Film Festival.


"Swiped Right," a short film that Dana penned, directed, co-produced, and edited,( based on an idea by Lydia Fiore), won the Audience Choice Award at the Williamsburg International Film Festival, Best New Jersey Comedy at the Brightside Tavern Film Festival, Honorable Mention in the Best Shorts Competition, as well as other awards including Best Actress (Lydia Fiore) at the Buffalo International Film Festival.  It was also an official selection of The Big Apple Film Festival.

SASHA, won an Award of Distinction at the CanadaShorts Film Festival, was an official selection at the Big Apple Film Festival, and is nominated for four awards including Best Short Screenplay, Best Cinematography, Best Editing, and Best Actor (Joe Fusco) at the London International Film Festival. 

Dana is currently developing "EAST" into a series and has several other projects in development.


Dana grew up in New York City, went to the Ethical Culture Fieldston School, and graduated from The University of Michigan.   She lives in New York City.
